The Great Spirit: The Calumet, 1985

The Calumet is a highly ornamented pipe of the American Indians used on ceremonial occasions, especially in token of peace.

Here is this pipe.  Really, it’s a man.

I put my own being in it.

Put in it your own being, you too.

Then, you will escape to all that brings the Death.
