Anthony Quinn Foundation attends a gala to celebrate the inauguration of direct flights between New York’s JFK Airport and Lyon, France by Delta Air Lines and Air France at The Morgan Library & Museum in Manhattan. Guest speakers included INTERPOL’s Secretary General Ronald K. Noble, Lyon’s Mayor Gerard Collomb, and Guy Mathiolon, President of the Lyon Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Dinner was prepared by Lyon chefs Daniel Boulud, Mathieu Viannay, and Christophe Marguin.

Anthony Quinn Foundation opens a public exhibition program at InterContinental Hotel Boston. Sponsored by Carnegie Abbey Club, Paolino Properties, Athena Group, and Boston Redevelopment Authority, the exhibition brings art into the public realm and celebrates the global community and human spirit through Anthony Quinn’s Monumental Works created in 1991 along with additional sculpture. The exhibition is a realization of a goal created by Anthony Quinn Foundation (AQF), to make artwork more prominent by making it part of the everyday experience (outside the walls of museums).

Discussed was UNESCO’s role and INTERPOL’s stolen works of art database including important efforts to recover stolen cultural identity from Iraq.

Wellington Society for the Arts selects Anthony Quinn Foundation's curator Benjamin Bergenholtz as guest speaker for Houston and Dallas
Benjamin Bergenholtz presented a lecture on Quinn’s legacy and his drive to create and collect. The lecture explored steps taken by Anthony Quinn Foundation to oversee the process of cataloguing, documenting, and interpreting Quinn’s extensive private collections. Also discussed was the organization of a National traveling exhibition, the creation of publications, and the process of establishing international scholarly exchange and institutional authority.

Katherine Quinn presents Arts Award
Katherine Quinn with stepson Alex presented Antonio Banderas the award for Arts at the 2006 Hispanic Heritage Foundation Awards commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Awards on September 7 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Katherine Quinn also presented Banderas with a painting by Anthony Quinn who was a past Hispanic Heritage Award honoree. The ceremony aired as a television special on NBC Universal television stations September 30.

Katherine Quinn was selected as keynote speaker for the Newport Wealth Management Symposium hosted by Neuberger Berman/ Lehman Brothers to discuss family wealth and legacy. Installation of Anthony Quinn's Dancer at "the 903" in Providence, RI
An official party to celebrate the installation of Dancer at “the 903” in Providence, Rhode Island marked the realization of Anthony Quinn’s original intent for a sculpture first conceptualized in 1991 and based on sketches and maquettes completed from 1989-1990. From Anthony Quinn’s Monumental Series, the six-foot tall Dancer is 5,500 pounds of oxidized steel and represents the flow of a dancer in motion.

National Traveling Exhibition Launched: Anthony Quinn's Eye: A Lifetime of Creating and Collecting Art
With the popularity of the exhibition
Anthony Quinn’s Eye: A Lifetime of Creating and Collecting Art at the
Newport Art Museum, the Estate of Anthony Quinn launched a national traveling exhibition featuring over ninety works of art including paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and artifacts from the collection. Featured works include Renoir, Archipenko, Moore, and Quinn’s own art. This exhibition also features new research and documentation about the collection made possible through an international exchange of information with scholars. Scheduled to begin in 2007, the exhibition will visit six accredited museums.

Billy Zane and Elena Anaya perform scenes from the play based on Federico Fellini’s La Strada. The play was developed at the Actors Studio under the mentorship of Anthony Quinn and adapted by Gene Walsh. Director Aeysha Walsh discusses the process of turning the film into a play with the actors.
